What do you reckon i should get an Xbox 60GB hard drivefor $230 orjust a standard memory card for $60? Given that i don't want to spend too much money but still want an effective and effcient storage device.

what are the advantages and disadvantages of both?

just buy the 20gig hard drive, you can pick them up fairly cheap now, memory cards are pretty redundant unless you take it to your friends house, but you might aswell take your box and do system links if that was the case

I've got both. A 20GB hard drive and the smallest memory card available, just so as I can take my profile round my mates. The HDD came with the Xbox 360, and I got the card off eBay for less than five quid. Though to be honest, a good memory card (the 512MB one) would probably be enough for me - it all depends on what you're gonna play, really. You just won't be able to get much DLC for games (if you should want to). But, yeah, I reckon it just depends on what you're gonna use it for. The 512MB card is enough to store saved games and lots of profiles, plus it's portable.

Speakingof which, I recently played and saved my Bioshock data on my friend's 360. Now I want to transfer it over to my machine. I bought a 512mb memory card can i just transfer it over or do I have to transfer the whole profile over?

20GB HDD. I'd also invest in a 64MB memory card too.

Wow I was thinking of picking up a memory card, but it cost almost 40 dollars for a 64mb one. Might as well save my money to get a new game, I'd rather take my HDD with me.
