Hi there, I've been having a lot of problems with my 360 slim lately. I started overheating once every two hours of continuous gameplay, but now, it's gotten to the point where it overheats after 10 min. I have tried my best to blow into the vents to get out any dust, my power brick is sitting on the corner of a box so it has maximum airflow, I've made it stand vertically and horizontally, and I've taken out the hard drive. Nothing seems to work, and now it seems that it's overheating "on schedule". It overheats now after about 10-15 min of gameplay consistently and the xbox nor the power brick are even remotely hot, barely even warm. I would love to hear any suggestions as to how to fix it, and any help is very much appreciated.

Go out and buy compressed air tank, they will help with any dust that you can blow out of it yourself.

Mine also gets extremely hot fairly quickly, i`m afraid having the poor thing turned on more than 30 minutes, but it`s summer so it`s warm were i live, i didn`t have these issues in spring & winter.

Check the fan to see if it is turning. Another thing you can do is take a computer fan add rubber feet and set it on your 360 over the stock fan to blow air away from it. You want a fan the only moves a little more air than the stock fan so it doesn't pull in a lot of dust.

Why does the thread title begin with "Q:....." but not ask a question and instead make a dramatic claim?
