I own 360, and I want to sell it. And get the X One, is it possible to insert the x360 games into Xone and play them?

Keep in mind it doesn't play off disc, discs just verify ownership, you still need to download BC file to play. Also, not all compatible games play as well as on the 360. Try to read about each one.
Indeed, a lot of titles actually play worse on XB1 than they did on the 360. I was trying to play Gears 3 horde mode with friends the other night, the frame rate was so bad it was downright unplayable. This was not an issue on the 360.
Same goes for Halo Reach, most games have issues in fact from my experience and that of others.
Just keep your 360 its still the best place to play these old games.
@capri2s: Really? I wouldn't suspect that X one would play the games from x360 with frame rate worse than original system?
Hm.... I've been thinking about getting that Halo 5 version anyway... I'll pick games to keep for the X1 carefully then.
(and I know it's not the thread, but I don't make any system wars. I will get ps4 with uncharted 4 soon aswell... I just want to sell X360 and Ps3 to get new gen.) And I had a moment , thought I might keep 360 for the other games, since it was my main system... but now it's gonna be the x1 for exclusives and just to upgrade the x360... I'll think over everything again :P But hell, I want that Halo 5, looks sweeeeet... :P
For me, I just the backwards compatibility for single player games. For the games that I still play online multiplayer, I stick with the original 360 versions as they play smoother for me.

If an X360 game is on the BC list, then you may insert the 360 disc into your X1 and the game will be installed to the HDD and playable from that point on. The list is growing all the time. Recently the Witcher 2 was given to anyone, whether they owned it on 360 or not. I believe that MS/CDPR freebie has expired so one would either have to own it on 360 or buy it for 360 at this point and then depending on if you own it digitally or disc you may install the game. I regularly check my "Ready to install" list on X1 because I had a lot of games on 360, and it seems like something pops up every other week or so.

True. Halo Reach stuttered at first but I played it again last week after an update and it ran smooth. I am enjoying how smooth the Witcher 2 is playing. Absolutely great play.

that's great to hear, I want to try it out now, though I'd rather have Halo Reach via the MCC I doubt they're gonna do that now
do you know if other games saw a performance boost as well?
@lamprey263 Everything I have and have tried, now including Reach, plays fine. I do have R6 Vegas on my install list and haven't tried that or Fable 3 yet. R6 I just don't feel any desire to play again and I get my Fable fix from being in the Legends beta since last summer. That game has really come along. You really need a team that communicates if you want to complete the quests even against the CPU villain.
