Just rented it and enjoying it.

eh, its alright. the story is way to long even for an RPG. and the characters kinda suck in the game, there basiclly just generic standard rpg characters. the actual gameplay is good though
If you can get past the massive homosexual overtones of Makato then it's decent enough... the combat system is top notch, the grid system works really well.
I did not mind the story but I got so bored of the combat system that I did not finish it(the only rpg I have not finished on 360 out of ~7) When my friend said "grid combat system" I got all excited and thought it was like gladius or fire emblems combat(which is my favorite combat system) but turns out it was just a little tiny grid.
i forgot about that game
always wanted to play it but kept pushing it back
thx for reminding me, i added it to my gameq :D
hows GameFly now? hows their Game Availailability? i had to cancel them a third time cuz their shiit was slowing down Netflix is doing the same to me right now
To the OP: Stop auto-fighting in all your fights and you'll actually have more fun. The fights are part of what make it so fun and unique. Sheesh! Some people are so noobish and judge games before they've even played them properly...Spike1988I'll never understand how some people think that insulting someone will convince them to see your point of view.
It was the last game I've beaten, and I found it rather enjoyable. It's obviously not the best rpg, but it was decent enough. The story was decent in some areas, though one of the "twists" was so obvious that it became pretty painful to watch at times. I don't know why there are complaints about not being able to heal between battles - you start off fully healed each battle unless you run out of VP, for which you can have up to 8 backup charactersincase you do.
I actually found the combat to be one of the best parts, as it was very unique. I've played both Gladius and Fire Emblem, and I thought it was an interesting change from that type of grid combat. I will admit though that the sheer number of random encounters really started to bother me near the end of the game.
