no. It would disrupt the frantic rush of the game. IMO cover systems aren't great in FPS games anyway, since you don't really have a good field of view.

def not, COD is not gears of war. I like both games and like how each is different from the other. a cover system in mw2 would be a really bad idea

I think it would bebetter suited for a more slow-paced game like Bad Company, which is far more realistic and feels like an actual Battlefield. CoD is an arcade shooter, nothing more. BF:BC actually strives to emulate a frantic war experience and I think a cover system in BC3would add a nice touch of realism rather than crouching for cover.

No way! They can add aliens to the next CoD before they introduce a cover system.

Definitely this. The last thing I'd like to see is a bunch of prepubescent kids hiding behind cover for hours, only for me to walk past and get my head blown off. Its already a problem, lets not add fuel to the fire.

NO! Cover in CoD is a bad idea. The gameplay is meant to be fast paced even boardering on arcadey. Cover works perfect for a game like Rainbow Six or Gears.

Camping would increase by 500% if there was a cover system. FPS games shouldn't have a cover system.

No FPS with a cover system would ever work properly, because it would pan out to 3rd person, gears works well because its 3rd person and well worked. But it would be interesting to see a FPS with a cover system that stays in 1st person, so when you look around a corner it actually peers not zooms out.

If memory serves right, Rainbow Six: Vegas had a cover system that didn't work all that bad, but the pace of that game was tottaly different.

i don't think it would benefit from a cover system especially since previous FPS games that try to implement a cover system haven't really worked out solid.

That would be a bad idea and it would just increase the amount of campers in the game plus it would slow the game down too much.

James161324

That is not possible.

And having a cover system would make no sense in a FPS game.
