With so much stuff, how Long do you think you'll keep playing your 360?

It's just something that came up to me ever since I've upgraded to a 120 gb HDD, Bought dozens of 360 and arcade games, and the news of downloadable xbox originals. With all the stuff I've been buying for the 360 and all this news of other things coming soon, I better expect to be playing the 360 until maybe around 2013.

Same here as well. I always wait 6months to a year before I get the next system just to let them filter out the bugs. As soon as the new systems come out then my 6month-1year clock starts.

I think anything we may here between now and then is purely speculation. Until they start taking pre-orders nowbody will now when the next system is due out. I will say that 2011-2012 seems a little longer then I would think, usually systems have a window of 5 years before they start to feel dated. Considering we are entering year 3 of the 360 I think 2012 is a bit of a stretch considering the way technology is growing. but who knows

haha As much as I'd like to play the next xbox, its totally unrealistic and unreasonable for it to come out that soon. It wouldhurt both Microsoft and it's consumers. I'd say 2012 to 2014. That'll give microsoft the time to come up with something BIG!!!!!!!!!!!!

?? I think he said AFTER the next box comes out..lol...and 2012-2014?..no way remember that the 360 came out in late 2005, 2012-2014 puts it at 7-9 years old..no freak'n way a system lasts that long.

lol my bad.....How could I have not understood that? haha I guess It's the fact that it had 1 year that I immediately thought one year fom now cause that'sthe worst thing that could ever happen to me....the next xbox coming too soon haha

Oh and for the 2012-2014...Microsoft said that it was going for a longer lifespan than usual to make it futureproof similar to how Sony says it's ps3 would have a 10 year lifespan so I'm guessing around there. Anyways with allupgrades and downloadable content, it better last that long!

thats pretty messed up if MS calls it the xbox 720 cuzeveryone knows after the 360 is the 540 so they should make the xbox 540 lol

The 360 is kicking ass right now quite well... To be honest the only thing I needed for the system was Halo 3 since I played Halo 2 basically every day up until Halo 3 was released (with about 3 days gaming time set aside for Oblivion and Gears of War campaign), and I'll be playing Halo 3 the day the new Xbox comes out.

You think you will be able to kepp your gamerscore adn I think the 360 Will be out for at least another 5-7 years since they just released a new xbox (Halo Edition)and the black xbox (a year ago I think)D-Norris
