Wireless Connection help!!

I just got a wireless adapator and a lynksys router. Wont let me connect. it doesnt get past wireless network it says not connected. Can anyone help?

Yes, every thing works perfectly fine but if I play a pc game (TF2) on my laptop I'm unable to sign into xbox live via an ip adress problem. I have a simple solution; restart my labtop and every thing will work fine, but i'm finding this annoying now and i'd like to fix the problem.

ya i do have them hooked up. im actualy playing on someone elses wifi connection. Not sure why its not letting me use my router though.

Because you need to enter the WEP Code (25 digits)
