I'm still using my wired mic that came with my 360. Recently I've been able to speak in online games but I can't hear anything. Same goes for messages. When I disconnect the microphone I can hear the messages fine through my TV. I had this problem before and I fixed it by changing controllers. This time it won't work. Is my microphone finally dead? Is it possible to **** at Microsoft to send me a new one?

Go wireless. I had the same problem with the wired mics. Its because the wire is making a loose connection with the thing that plugs into the controller and its just better to have a wireless mic IMO

I hear that the wireless mic has static and such and disconnects often.

wired is cheaper, youdon't care as much if it stops working, more comfortable, and cheaper to replace, with no batteries to change.

I also heard there were many problems with the wireless. Also, my wired has the same problem, i can't hear, but i can speak through it and others hear me. So i set the chat to go through the TV speakers. it is a bit annoying tho.

Yeah. I thought about doing that but I have to turn my TV up a bit to hear sometimes.

So it's not a controller problem right? It's not like my controller can't receive audio signals right?
