When all there is, is just rumour and speculation it's too early to be asking this question. After what I've reading about blocking second hand games I can't say I'm to keen on the idea of buying one, BUT it's just rumour and hearsay right now. It's too early to ask this question.

This mainly because it will not be called the 720. That's already been confirmed. On topic: yes I will be getting it cause I want to play Halo 5.
If the things that Gamespot has been reporting turn out to be true, there's no way in hell I'll ever get one.

Agreed. I got the 360 for Allen Wake, Halo and Gears, but at this point I am tired of Halo and Gears and haven't seen anything for more games like Allan Wake except for on the PS3 with Beyond: Two Souls. I play games for story for the most part and am pissed at MS for what route they chose to go late in the generation with Kinect.
I don't see why not. Probably later than the other console though. I think the first few years of its life will have some new IPs and Alan Wake 2 along with the same old tired Halo & Fable and so on. I never buy used games so that in itself isn't a problem; although if the rumour is true it puts an end to borrowing games from friends and whatnot. Which is crap. We'll know more on April 26th hopefully.

Agreed....even though I plan on getting both(720 and PS4)systems I want to see what MS has to offer. Once MS shows off the 720, then I can decide which one to get at launch and which one to get when there's a price cut.
No, I won't be getting it. I have the XBox 360, which is good for me at the moment. It depends on how the other console makers stack up in their next gen machines. Plus, the selling price will play a big factor.
Not sure. The ps4 looks pretty good but I might save up for a pc. I would like to keep on an xbox since I've been on them since the first one and I likes the controller.

It's a code name. It's like when people were calling the Wii the Revolution before Nintendo announced it would be called the Wii. 720 works just fine because everyone knows what you're talking about. As for me getting a ... SEVEN-TWENTY .. I don't know yet. Seems MS isn't really offering much other than Kinect games and apps I don't need. Plus, if the rumors turn out to be true about the used games, I would definitely not get one.
Depends. If the rumors about the used games being blocked, Kinect being mandatory, and a constant internet connection required are true, then no, I won't be getting one.Â

so far i've been less impressed with the 360s latest years, and i'm less than impressed with the rumors surrounding the 720. I also am not pleased as the EA deal M$ made for 720.Â
I will be getting both a PS4 and the next XBOX. I do not want my gaming choices restricted in any way. I know that I will get my money's worth out of both.
every new system since the 8 bit days i rushed off and got the new consoles when very new, and generally lost interest in the outgoing one
however each time when i looked back i realized some of the systems best games came out during that period when they were on their last legs
that combined with haing less money this year means ill wait till both ps4 & 720 have been out for a while, there are plenty of games on both and i can tell which console suits me more. in the meantime ill stick with the current gen for the next few years yet

ive been with M$ for 9 years. If the rumors are true in that it will always have to be online so they can railroad used games then hell no. At this point i'm debating on just buying a gaming PC and never look back at consoles again at the rate thing are going.
nope considering the fact i already have a cable bill i dont need another one, Â Â Â Â Â Â sorry with all the recent rumors, its putting me off , especally the no used game rumor and the always online , but the cable type pay as you go service puts it off even more , Â
"Yup" as I don't see MS doing any of the "deal breaker" rumors. If they do... well.. then... "nope". While I expect to buy it I just don't see myself being in a hurry unless MS can show a quantum leap improvement with the new system. That is unlikely especially at the price point that they would need to deliver.
Game Stop and the like have already made it clear that they will fight that tooth and nail. Honestly I think MS was just testing the waters for popularity. It would be near impossible to control as cracks or other work arounds would come out on release day. Plus who is going to buy a system that limits them to NEW games only?
I'll do the same thing I did with the 360 and PS3 when those came out. It worked for me then, and I'm going to go with the same game plan this time. Also, I'm a little bit older now (27) and I'll always play video games, but if I'm going to be taking my life seriously, I won't have quite as much time to play games as I do now. When the 360 dropped, the lines were ridiculous and people were camping out overnight just to get a system that barely even had any games, and the games that were out were garbage (remember the first madden that came out after all the hype that surrounded it? Should've been a class action lawsuit to get people's money back after that disaster). Anyhow, the first batch, or seven batches, of Xbox's that came out all had defects and were red ringing left and right. I think everyone remembers that. So I'll just wait until the system has been out for at least 5-6 months and then go grab it with my best buy credit card because I'm sure it'll be ridiculously expensive. I still love my 360/PS3 and I'm not jonesing for the new system, so I'll just kick back and chill and watch the crazy bastards go at it and I'll just wait for the first generation of systems to come out and see if there's anything wrong with them, and based off of M$'s track record, I think we all know that those xbox's will all have problems.
I'll be getting both the PS4 and Xbox "720". At this point though, from seeing the Wii U's progress so far, I will not be purchasing one. Nintendo screwed me over with the Wii already, not sure if I'm ready for another round.Â
Not at launch. given all that Microsoft is doing with the Xbox 720. I'll wait and see the results of Microsoft's experiments. Only being able to use 1 game on a single console. Blocking used games. Always on internet connection required.
But what did in my launch purchase was manatory kinect V2. I have no use for kinect. Didn't buy the first one. There are no decent games that use kinect. Kinect is just not that great for videogames. Unless you like dance central.
So having Kinect V2 mandatory in Xbox 720. Seals it. I will not be buying at launch. I wait and see the result of these experiments with Xbox 720.
I'm the same as most people in here. I went for the 360 over the PS3 and I'm glad that I did. I will not buy a 720 though, if you can't play used games and this is coming from a guy who per-ordered GTA 5 back in November
