even though the game looks awesome, and i'm definetly buying it, it won't seel more than gears because it has no MP and the expectation isn't as high. When gears was about to come out, the advertizing was going crazy
Im buying it but I doubt that it will sell more than Gears. As a poster above me pointed out, no MP and if the advertising doesnt go crazy before release then it wont sell more than Gears. Gears MP is a busted experience but it still has thousands of players daily, including me. Its a game where all of your buddies can get together and just go at each others throats and laugh about it in the end.
I doubt it,but it is possible.Gears was only on 360 and sold well.But Assassins Creed is on the 3 platforms simultaneously,so it does have a chance.Dymedropp3r
Agreed!!! Geow is a system seller. I wasn't planning on getting a 360 until they had a major price cut, but after seeing Geow my plans changed veeeeery quickly!!! lol

Am I crazy or isn't Assassin being developed by Ubisoft. I guess their pedigree is non existent. With franchises like Splinter Cell, Rainbow Six, Ghost Recon, Prince of Persia etc etc under their belts.........you're right no pedigree there.

I hope you have a tasty hat, because Assassin's is coming out on 2 major consoles and PC with more paying customers than X360 had last year. Granted, GeoW had a huge amount of hype built up right before it, but Assassin's Creed looks like a game that will have some staying power whereas GeoW was kind of flash-in-the-pan. 40+ hours of single player campaign vs. 8 hours with GeoW + a mediocre multiplayer.
