for a next gen system. i didn't get the 360 til the priced droped thas when i got it. there r awsome games that r out. i just bought dead rising that has been out for aebout 3 years now.
I had the first Xbox and really liked it. However, like many other people; the 360 being the first next gen console on the market was a big factor into the purchase decision.

but w/e, it was a 50/50 between ps3(i was a HUGE fan of sony) and xbox so i picked xbox cuz my friend was like u want my halo edition xbox with halo 3 for 350? so i was like OK so ya there ya go. sigh sometimes i wish i had a ps3 though, i miss the playstation, ill probably get one in the next generation of consoles instead of the nextbox
I recieved a PS3 for my birthday last year and was fairly content with it. However I still wanted to play games like Bioshock (which is now coming to the PS3 but oh well), Halo 3( While fun I still think the original was the best) and Gears of War(probably the best game on the 360 so far IMO). So there it is I wanted to play the exclusives. Personally I don't think there is really a better system this generation. They both have their advantages(More games/free online play) and disadvantages(RRoD/fewer games). But overall nothings really changed from the SNES, Genesis days. You buy the consols based on the exclusives you want to play.
At first it was Halo 3, and I didn't want to go over to my friend's house everytime I wanted to shoot some people online, so I persuaded my parents to pay for 2/3 (my dad wanted to use it for the media center).
But now, it's because of all the awesome games out for it and it's great online.
Well, I just graduated from High School and that means graduation presents. I had my eyes on Gears 2, but I had to play the first game first. So, my father bought me a 360 while I went out and bought Gears 2 and Halo 3. Good times, plus I was getting bored with my PS3.
