What Should be My First 360 Games?

I'm soon to purchase a 360, i've been gaming pretty steady on the Wii and N64, but I'm getting close to finishing Skyward Sword and Banjo Tooie, and then I think I'm finally going to buy a core console. Definately going with 360. What would you all recommend to be the first games i get? I'm not looking into spending hundreds of dollars on games here. I guess I'd prefer to go cheap and used, except for maybe the newest Halo game.

what do you like? more on mp side or sp? darks souls, mw3, halo reach. would say bf3 BUT since they added rent a server game as crashed(online pass). red dead dem, bioshock 1-2. all those you should be able get 30 or lessk2theswiss

I'd be doing you a diservice if i didnt throw in Rayman Origins (19.99 most places) and Dead Space (less than 10$ used)

Hmmmm, let's see Alan Wake and the Left 4 Dead Games are pretty good. If you can afford a more recent game, I reccommend The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings. It's that rare game that I have to force myself to put down the controller to do anything else.

Halo, fable, gears of war, and assassins creed are some of my favorite series, and the earlier games of these should be pretty cheap.

Kameo is also a great platformer, and one of the first 360 games. I bought it really cheap, made by rare as well.

Mass Effect or FIFA 12 is you are a soccer fan.

Skyrim, and a good online game for starters (wether it be call of duty or battlefield, etc.) It's always really good to have a competitive online game to switch over to when you're sick of playing campaigns, I learned that real quick.

I'm sorry, but Skyrim is simply amazing and a terrific value. I'm in love with it at the moment.

Aaand also... Max Payne 3 has come out and I am totally into it so far. Looks to be one of my favorite 360 games this year.

Halo Reach and Halo 3.

Get Halo 3, Bioshock, Crackdown, Fable II and Gears of War. You can find them for around ten bucks each and they're all classics. Great games.

Halo Reach would be a good choice for a first game. Modern_Fit

Just bought my Xbox 360 last week and got it today as for games I picked these ones for my first games

• Zoids Assault
• Perfect Dark Zero
• Kameo Elements of Power
• Halo 3

Unfornetly I got unlucky and Halo 3 gets a Unrecognized Disc error so not sure if I should count that one I sort of got it work a bit though, and Kameo hasn't come in the mail yet so I'm waiting on that one. guess I would probably recommend Halo 3, Gears of War and probably Kameo Elements of Power if you can find the game

Gears of War 1, 2, and 3. Best series on the 360 in my opinion. I also recommend Shadows of The Damned, it's a Suda 51 game, and Akira Yamaoka of Silent Hill is in charge of the soundtrack. The game is like an improved Resident Evil 4 with a lot of humour, and a very likeable protagonist. Also, get the Mass Effect franchise, if you are an RPG man. If you are more into FPS then get Battlefield or CoD: Modern Warfare. Check them out, and choose which you would rather like. Battlefield has better graphics, and gameplay, but I found Modern Warfare more fun to play.
