What fighting game requires the most skill to be a master online...? Think of controls, mastering combos etc...

I think its Marvel VS Capcom 2. It can get real intense and fast when playin skilled ppl over live.

FNR4 takes more than all those. To be real good, it requires some knowledge of how to actually box

DOA4 easily, so many combos and counters, its so hard to be rank S in that game. well back when alot of people played it online. sure as hell way harder than street fighter or marvel v capcom i think. since those two games are just using the same strategies each character has. when DOA4 its alot harder to read others moves and what they will do next. but then again most people here probably dont like DOA or any of the DOA games like me or have even had a 360 to experience DOA4 at its peak when it was released..

majority of people will just vote for whatever game they like/play the most because obviously if theyre playing it, it must take the most skill

That's the point of the thread basically. Which game would you do the worst at button mashing.

The answer to THAT question is SSF4. Button mashing is completely useless in that game. Pretty much everyone who plays it and tries to button mash will immediately realize that it just isn't doing anything for them, even at a basic level.

agreed, my only problem with mvc2 is that theres definitely players that are overpowered while it seems like in sssf4 there's alot more balance (look at sagat from 4 to super) in addition there's really only 3 players that feel like you have a disadvantage (dan, makoto and sakura) but for the most part its alot more balanced than before.

i agree, in tekken i know a.lot of moves are pretty easy to do (the special moves) while street fighter you literally have to practice (when you first start at least) to learn how to do charged attacks and shoryukens and hadokens, and those are really some of the basic moves, then you have to learn to combo them in and set up for ultras and finally if you're just starting you really are gonna have to take a while to get good at it, its not a game where button mashing (such as tekken) is feasible whatsoever.

DOA4 because there are no projectiles for chip damage or spam. It's also easy to counter stuff like button mashing and will eventually just ko them without having to even attack.

They all require skill, but my vote is for SSF IV. I mean there is normal moves, special moves, ex moves, supers, ultras, focus attacks, cancels, and dashes in the game. If you lose a match is your fault because their is a counter for everything in the game. The 35 characters and everyone of can be deadly in the right hands.
