What do you do when people are racist on Xbox live?

I play Team Fortress, mostly with friends, so it's incredibly rare that I run across any really asinine behavior. In the even that I do:

I mute and i play the game. That's like caring if someone starts cussing at you on Gamespots forums. Who cares? The persons just some little kid that wants attention. Give them the attention and you're just as bad as they are. I certainly don't wanna listen to people cussing at each ther when i'm trying to play a game.

btw... Team Fortress 2 has a really good online community. It's the only multplayer game I play now. Can't wait for those new updates!

I don't mute rascism because to me it's funny. It reminds me of that episode in Flight of The Conchords when the indian guy is being racist to the New Zealanders thinking that their Austrailians. So yeah, I know it offends alot of people but I don't mind it, it's part of life and it's never going to go away.

I do mute kids when they sing, have some music playing over the mic, and when people sound inaudible.

I usually just laugh, or I join in on the rediculous stereotypes that people make up

Tell them to grow up. Never works, not that I expect it to.

Then I reach for the mute button.

I mostly Ignore them.. Telling myself that its not really their fault if their puny little brains are not big enough to understand the meaning of respect and civility.Then i ask myself , if maybe it was because of the education they got and the way their parents raised them. And then i understand everything! lol

For some reason I don't mute them. I like listening to how idiotic people can get sometimes :). But usually no one says anything about it, and neither do I. I just want to say "you're so funny" but it gets used so much it's lost it's meaning because of all the people trying to be funny on XBL. But it surprises me how many people are so prejudice and racist over XBL. What do you do? Are you the one who talks sh**?

Let em talk trash on XBL till they drop and just ignore em. I go on XBL to game not try to convince some jacka$$ of the wonderful contribution that they are making to humanity with the rubbish that comes out of their mouth.

Halo and gears, I tend to just mute everyone in the lobby from the off. The older I get, the less I tolerate fools.

It doesn't really work that way.

Mute is Handy.No sense in talking with those idiots. They usually just find something even more infuriating to throw back. And i feel sorry for these kids. But then again, I'm in to game, not to talk unless i'm with friends.

On related news, come Nov. 19, if you usually play and party with your friends on COD4 and Halo 3 and other such games, you'll be glad to know the NXE has an option in Privacy Settings to let you hear only those in your friends list.
