used VS new hard drive

I wanna get a 360 but would it matter i f I buy a used hard drive rather than a new one?

if your getting the 360 slim but only have the old 360 model hard drive then yes it would because the old 360 model hard drive doesn't fit in the new 360 slim.

It is possible to fit an old hdd to slim,But it's a fart on to do.

I was considering buy a used slim hard drive off of amazon but would the drive need formatting. And is it risky buying a used hard drive

No formatting unless they did something to it, and the risk just depends on the vendor.

I wouldn't ever buy a used hard drive, but that's just me. If you choose to go that route and buy a used one, just be careful to choose a reliable place to buy it from.

@CUDGEdave Hmm just saw the video. Doesn't look that bad. Just have to be careful not to move the console around too much or it may crack or bend the HDD ports.
