I currently have a 20 gb hard drive and am looking to upgrade to the 60 gig or even the 120 gig hard drive. I know that I can just recover my account via Xbox live, and I can just re-download all my marketplace content. But what about all my game saves? Is there any way to transfer them to my new hard drive?

Yes actually when you buy the new hardrive it comes with a disc and a transfer cable you put the disc in the tray and plug the transfer cable into the back usb port and all the content streams from your old hardrive i he new including game saves demos and anything else saved on the old HDD. I just replaced my 20 with a 120 gig.

The 120gb comes with a data transfer cable, it will transfer the contents of your 20gb onto the 120gb :). I didn't use mine though, I did it with the 256mb card my arcade came with due to the fact my 20gb HDD was from hong kong and something was a miss with it.

Not a big deal, I have locked the other one. For future reference, you can delete threads yourself if nobody else has posted in it by clicking on the drop down menu on the right hand side of the post and selecting the delete option.

I don't think the 60GB comes with a transfer cable, but a 120GB does and it's very easy to transfer everything.

Well, that's good to know about the data transfer cable. I'm that much closer to upgrading to the 120 gb when I get some Christmas money or if there's some crazy sale on them some where.

Well the 20GB is actually a lot closer to 10GB really considering about 7GB is not for access.

No, you can't. There is around 7GB (I think it's a little under that, can't remember for sure) that you cannot touch, at all.

I think you get 16 gig to play around with on the old 360 Pro HDD's and 4 is locked for programming, etc. I remember having more than 13 gig left when mine kicked the bucket last week.

Oh, Ok. I thought that just deleted my post, I didn't realize that would delete the whole thread if no one else had posted in it yet. Thanks for the info.

Well, if you select delete post on any normal post, it does just delete the post, but when it's the first post in a topic then it deletes the thread. Glad you know that now :)

I have kinda the same problem, when i first got my xbox pro it said it came with a 20gb harddrive but it only had 10gb open, idk why. I've seen 120gb harddrives at bestbuy and circuit city, i think they're like $170. I have never seen a 60gb harddrive in a store but you can order them online at one of those 2 stores websites the 60gb is $100. Hope that helps.

Back up any big saves to a memory card. It seems I'm not the only one who was left after the transfer with an E68 on he 120 GB drive and a freshly wiped 20GB drive. An ounce of prevention.... sure beats the pound of cure I face.
