There is an offer from eb games offering you to trade in 8 games worth at least 8 dollars you get 200 dollars off a new 40 gig ps3 making it only 200 dollars. now i have a xbox 360 and i love it to death it just seems to be a very good deal in that ill get a blue ray player and not miss out on mgs4 and final fantasy and what ever exclusives they have. this would cut my funds in half so im just wondering if anyone thinks it worth it cause i could just use the money for the new 360 games comin out. basically i would like the opinions of gamers in my position to share what they would do if you had this chance. oh and this offer only seems to be available on the canadian eb games site.
for the love of gaming, i would take that deal. a $200 ps3 is amazing. I guess it would consider though on which games they consider being worth at least 8 bucks, and I would have a hard time getting rid of my xbox games (but i do have tons of ps2 and gamecube games i would trade for a ps3)
200 bucks for a PS3 is an awesome deal if i didn't already have one thats what i would have done. To be honest i really only use my PS3 for the blu-ray player part i have crap load of movies and only a few games for it I really looking forward to the new MGS, LBP, and Killzone 2 thats about it. My 360 on the other hand is my gaming console and there are A TON of awesome looking games coming out this year so yup
hell, i'd do the deal. Ps3 is a good console, there's just not a really fantastic line-up of games quite yet. although there are some spectacular ones, Heavenly Sword, Uncharted, Ratchet and Clank Future, FOLKLORE (awesome, awesome extremely underrated game), and we all know that MGS, FF XIII, and something new from the Shadow of the Collosus team will be coming out on that console. As well as God of War III.
It's definitely going to be worth it. Do it. This is coming from an un-biased all-console owner.
first off do you really think you have 8 games worth $8 each? they would have to be pretty new and honestly if you're about gaming 360 is for you if you're about movies get a ps3
I have both systems, and dont agree with trading in games at all, but like someone else said, if you have some older games you dont play and cant get that much for them on eBay, 200 is a great deal for a PS3, just make sure if you get rid of a game you want, its one you can wait to play until it drops in price and you pick it up again,
EB Games or Gamestop give you sorry trade in value on games. If you ever want to trade in some games stay away from there and check out estarland.com. But, as said before, most of the time you can usually get more selling it on Ebay, thats what I do.
I would totally do it. Some of the games on the PS3 look good. It was just that last year when i was deciding what to get xbox had better exclusives (and i still feal that way), but if i could get a ps3 for 200 dollars and keep my 360 i would totally do that.
I'd pass on it till there was a nice amount of exclusives on the PS3. Right now its a 90% movie player and 10% gaming console. There are so many great 360 games coming out in the next six months that you'll need that $200 to buy them.
