So I just logged onto Xbox Live a second ago only to find out that I have been suspended due to billing issues. I guess they couldn't bill one of my credit cards, but I am no sure on why they would need to. I seriously just in a brand new year subscription card in at the beginning of October when they said that my subscription was almost up. So why would they need to bill my card if I've already payed them? I'm ok with putting in my newer card, but not if it means I'm going to get billed AGAIN for Xbox Live.

Just checked my billing statement, and they charged me for another year of xbox live earlier last month?? Now it won't expire until 2013!! I'm not even signed up for recurring how do I turn it off? I can't even delete the old card off of there? Heck I don't even want to put in my new card now!

Turns out that I put in my pre-paid card within the same time period I was billed for another year of Xbox Live. Due to this, the billing wasn't stopped when I put a pre-paid card in. Had a great experience on the line with customer service. Probably one of the best I've ever had.

Here's what I say. Just DELETE your credit card info from the servers at Microsoft and Sony. ONLY use pre-paid cards to add points/$$ to your account or renew subscription. That way you NEVER just get your creditcard billed without you actually swiping the card at a store. The hassle of driving to Gamestop to buy a 1yr xboxlive subscription is WAY less than the hassle of calling MS on the phone.

Very true, I helped one of my friends out with their accounts and it took about an hour on the phone..and for the exact same reason.

Yeah I've deleted all card information from both of my consoles. However, this card (the one they were trying to charge) wasn't able to be deleted as a transaction was trying to be processed. Glad that I've got it worked out though and will not have to use a card on a console again (hopefully).
