I would much rather have Microsoft work on the xbox 360 not to mention Nintendo pretty much has that whole market for itself.

If they could basically make it a PSP with two thumbsticks I would buy it.

I'd buy it. They've got a lot of great IPs that would work well on a hand held IMO.

As long as they are not like the PSP's. I hate how it is.

I meant Microsoft's take on a handheldthat hastwo thumbsticks instead of one so I could play some FPS's on the go. Never got a PSP because I knew this wasn't possible with one stick.

I don't think there should be an Xbox portable, but I bet Microsoft will attempt to create one in order to make more money/compete with the Sony and Nintendo handhelds.

The DS has a near monopoly on that part of the business, might bring in some money but not right now. And i wouldn't buy it if there was one.

I hope not. I own both the PSP and DS and I don't want more handheld competition. But I would like to see portable versions of all of the Xbox's great games.

also look what happened once sony entered they lost focus on their console ,

i dont tihnk ms is in any position to make any mistakes like they have already

entering a market where nintendo has dominated since 1985 is to me one of the biggest mistakes any one can do , if ms was gonna they would have already ,

I was Googling Microsoft handheld and they were developing a thing the size of a portable DVD player, some said it was supposed to be able to run Halo 2? Dunno what happened to the idea tho.

I don't know. If Sony stopped supporting the PS3 and spent most of it's efforts on the PS3, how much would that improve a PS3? Perhaps if Microsoft started devoting a certain amount of attention into creating portable gaming devices, that might reduce the attention and effort put into the Xbox 360. I am not saying that it's certain, but it could be a possible effect.

At this point it's pointless since the psp and ds are between 50 mil and 100 mil worldwide.

i personally have absolutely no interest in portatble gaming myself so u would hope that microsoft would just focus their efforts to improving the 360 rather than trying to tap an already full market

You can make your own portable 360 and it is basically a laptop. It has a keyboard and that's about the only thing extra but it's pretty sweet. can't remember the site but this guy will show you how to do it step by step. I don't think I could afford to do it.

i think nintendo is the only company to do proper portable gaming, all others have failed in one way or the other. i think a major mess up area is the price, as most people with portable gaming just want it for gaming, not the internet movies pictures music etc. as most mobile phones can do tht to a good standard.

also with the iphone and more competitors coming out, portable gaming soon may only be a service available on other appliances

There isnt enough support to bother with it. Mircosoft doesnt have enough exclusives to work with it would get killed by the psp and the ds

The new Zune HD features the Nvidia Tegra chip, they call it a PC on a chip. There should be plenty of power to play games, it also plays hd video which can be ouputed to your tv, and rumor has it you can play your xbla games that you've downloaded on it. Teamxbox has quite a bit of info on it, it looks really sweet, if the price point is below 300 then I definitely want one, it looks to compete with Iphone, PSP, and Ds quite nicely.

Never. Portable consoles are underpowered and pretty much useless imo. Buy a laptop with a decent processor and graphics card.

What are you talking about? The PSP's sales are doing excellently. But over piracy has ruined it. Although the systems are still selling very well.

Yes maybe it could actually have some new releases unlike the psp.
