I played Deadspace, it was kinda scary the first time but not really, not as scary as when I was younger playing REmake.
I also played FEAR 1 it was kinda scary but also kind of annoying, never played FEAR 2. Anything scarier?

the condemned games have their moments and even half life 2 has a few it depends on what u mean by scary as most games are just jump out and make a lot of noise scary which i like
I've been watching videos of Fatal Frame and they look scary. I want scary games like, suspensful, you don't know what's going to happen next.
Also I want a good story to the game, and good gameplay.
Like if you played RE4, the part where you're in a prison and you open the dumpster and there is a bag, after like 3 seconds it starts wiggling around, then around the other corner you hear a regenerator breathing, you walking over and you see it standing in a cell. Also the parts with the dogs in the garden is scary but it's like, you're scared because you know they are coming you don't know from where and they will kill you.
im a easy scare, fear scared the crap out of me.
Bioshock isn't really that scary but its just so creepy... seriously it gives me chills everytime i play it
The "Condemned" games are good. Dead Space is supposed to be legit too.......havent played it yet though.
Well the only games that come to mind that would be outright scary are Silent-Hill (if you are scared fairly easily, even then it rarely lasts), and Fear 2, there are others I suppose but these would be the best known. I frankly don't find any game scary so I am working off of second hand knowledge. Bioshock is somewhat disturbing but not really scary per say (the submersible sequence would be I suppose if you were 5 in a dark room). As for games that have events that surprise me often, Left 4 Dead, Fallout 3 with the ghoul's (sometimes I would have 3-4 following behind me and I wouldn't notice until I stopped), quite a few games have their moments but really I don't find any that scary (Fear 2 was borderline).
Edit: I forgot to add that in Fallout 3 the first time I met a Deathclaw and it leaped at me from 15 feet away I nearly shat my pants.
yea.. floating limbs and baby monsters ftw.. :PDead Space is the most scary and disturbing game on ANY system

Silent Hill: Homecoming is a pretty good game.
When I first got Dead Space on release day, I started it on Hard difficulty and put the headphones on with the lights low on the living room that night. I was leaping out of my seat... briefly taking my headphones off at times, and generally freaking out. I had to restart on Normal because hard was too hard. :?

FEAR 2 didn't even scare me at all.FEAR 1 was much better IMO. Agreed, I found the first FEAR to be a lot scarier...However, the second FEAR was a lot more deeply disturbing, although not outright scary. The school section in the game easily ranks in my top five most ****ed up sequences in gaming EVER. Anyway, I found Dead Space to be the most legitimately and consistently unsettling game this generation so far, so I recommend that. Please Log In to post.
