I was thinking about trading in the old classic Halo 2 and a Nintendo DS game for Saints Row, for those who own the game...is it worth me going through all of this?
i played the demo,so i cant say the whole thing was bad,put nfrom what i played i didnt like i.weird controls and it was full of wanna be gangsters.they just kind of annoyed me

Thats what I thought when I played the demo.
So I rented, and realized I was wrong, I then bought it.
i bought saints row with my 360 last september and i'm still playin git to this day.. i've completed all the missions.. now i'm working on the activities. it has HOURS worth of content thats enjoyable. I actually prefer it to GTA simply because its a more vivid city and the NPCs are hillarious!

O and you cant forget knocking people through their windshields by ramming them with your car.
Saints Row is a very fun game that actually improves on a lot of GTA's faults, especially the shooting controls, while also shamelessly stealing a lot of its good stuff. But what hurt it considerably is that it also tried to be ironic and witty like GTA, and... well, that just didn't work. The radio stations in Saints Row are so bad that it was mostly better to just drive around silently. Still, gameplay-wise, Saints Row is fun and addictive. And it looks great, too. Easily worth a rental, though I don't know about buying it at this point unless the price has dropped.

Yeah, I bought this game when I got my xbox3sh*tty last year. It's definitely a fun game (try the insurance fraud activity) and the structure of the game is built pretty nice so that you can't just steam roll through it. Online multiplayer is fun and pretty much you can pick up the gist of it in second's no crazy learning curve. When you get it make sure the first online match you do is "Pimp my ride", you'll love it.
