there is now way this will ever happen. MS will never release a console at the same price as a ps3 without some kind of hd movies drive like blu ray they would basically be giving the competiton away
Dev kits are black. Thats how you know the difference. I know there are rumors about this but I highly doublt they will and if they do I think it will retail at the 399 price and they would lower the current model.
Hey guys. This is actually REAL! I saw it on Attack of the Show today. They are black 120 GB 360's that come with HDMI ports. It's coming out this spring in Austrailia and they say they might also come to the states. I cant wait. I swear it's true. You might be able to find some info on G4tv.com

Here's a topic I made on this exact same subject just yesterday. I had seen they mentioned it on the ticker tape for AoTS and came here but couldn't find any info on it. Someone in my topic had a link to a major xbox 360 site that had a story on it if you want to look.

well, yah. its not like that site had an early version of a black 360. they just did that to spec what it may look like.
Theres no way in hell MS would ever do that. MS realizes that the majority of TVs in homes today do not have HDMI hookups, and most normal people dont want to throw down 30+ bucks for a cable. The point of 360 is that you have choice, people like me who couldnt care less about HD movies (and dont have a 1080p TV to begin with) dont have to pay 200 bucks extra to have it installed. And yea, that picture is so obviously inverted. Besides, PS3 isnt selling worth a sh*t anyway.
honestly i could care less about the hdmi port, and at this point my 20 gig hd is doing fine. but eventually i'll probably upgrade to the 120 gig hd if they have a way to transfer everything from my old hd. i won't be buying any black xbox's unless xbox 3 is black.

And HDDVD has the porn industry to back it up :)The pron industry lent is support to HD-DVD, but it appears titles are currently being released in both formats. Remember, content is king, and right now Sony has the ability to push more players via the PS3 sales, and they have more content (their own) + other publishers. It's no slam dunk because HDDVDs are cheaper, but right now it appears all of the big guns are leaning towards BluRay. IMHO BluRay doesn't have to win.... Sony just has to keep it from losing.
