You have the standard edition drum set which comes with drums like in Rock Band, and then Harmonix paired up with a periphial (Spelling?) company called Ion and theyre making a major set for the hardcore drummers with the game and THATS the one that costs $300
Thats a special edition made by ion that can also be used as a working electronic drum kit with an extra piece of equipment. I'd suggest only for hardcore drummers.

Thanks for that info. I already knew about the $300 Drum Set, but those expansion slots sound pretty sweet.
