By online codes I mean the codes you have to enter to play some games online these days.

Do I need a separate code for each gamertag or does it apply to all gamertags on the same system?

I assume your referring to things like online passes? We have them on a few PSN games too, all you have to do is put the code in (only get it if you buy it new) and then you can play online, but on Xbox it's different because it's linked only to that gamer tag. So your friends or family can't play online with their accounts, only yours.

If you don't buy the game new you can still purchase an online pass, they are $10 usually. Well at least on PSN anyway, I don't know how much they are in MS points.

Hope that helps. It sucks I know but what can you do?

Don't mind him.

Online passes should work on the console they were redeemed on, so any Gold account can access the MP.
