I think every die hard shooter fan knows the father of console shooters was golden eye for the n64.

Quantum of Solace is the fist bond game on a next gen console, which isn't a spin off james bond game or anything other than Quantum of Solace (and the precluding Casino Royal story). There is a strong emphasis on the story obviously as this is a bond game, but perhaps more so than the usual shooter as multiplayer is a strong focus.

However the multiplayer is supposed to be fully supported and a main selling feature with various game modes.

Utilizing the latest cod4 engine from one of the most recently successful shooters, could this really be a modern day Golden Eye? ;)

cod5 suddenly looks not so appealing anymore! besides i have cod4 for cod5 team based play, im looking forward to a fresh new shooter!

it looks real good, but then again so does Call of Duty World At War...

So I'm waiting for reviews of each, because I can't afford everything that's coming out...

I think I saw a quote from a gaming magazine or website and it said "The best bond game since Goldeneye" so that sounds pretty promising I'am preordering this game on my birthday (Nov. 1st)

Better than Everything or Nothing, no way, I played the demo of the PC version and it was ok, then again it was way too short.

that would be Everything Or Nothing. Many people didn't play it or dont give this game credit. It had its cast of real stars and its own story that was so good (not to mention a decent bond song), there were talks of bring it to the big screen.

Well I was 'nt going to preorder it because of that quote I've always loved Bond games and plus I can only play T shooters but I've played CoD4 (Which I bought) in front of my parents face and they did'nt seem to care too much, shoot I even said wow that's a lot of blood and they did'nt do anything about it.

it sucked so hard that they considered strongly to bring it to the big screen. Please, at least say why it "sucked" to you.

What, that game was awesome, you thought The World Is Not Enough was better, LOL, that game is so average. Golden Eye: Rouge Agent has to be the worst Bond game of the last generation.

hey, i played one level of Quantum Of Solace today at the Gaming invasion, and i will say it was good. controls were easy. Graphics were really nice, and able to use cover with the press of the A button was simple and really good. Y was the jump button but hey how often are u gunna jump? lol. aiming was simple and scopes on the guns were nice. Just my input, but i say who ever is looking at the game and questioning it, think again, it will be good. i say anywhere between an 8-9/10.

i disagree, nothing can ever be so good and old and not be beaten. reason they hasnt been a bond better than goldeneye is because all the ea games after simply wernt upto scratch, sure they were good but not that good on campain or multiplayer. now this time you aint got to put up with a generic average ea game, you got the people who work on call of duty one of the best if not best shooters on the xbox. now put the new bond game in the cod4 engine. well if cod5 kicks ass then its going to be a very strong chance that the bond game is upto to virtually the same standard. no bond games had the chance or platform like xbox 360 live to take it to the next level that wasnt possible with the n64. so with call of dutys game play and graphics, based on cod4s multiplayer and campain, i cant see how cod5 or the bond game can be poor games. i think ifs as good as cod4 its going to be the next goldeneye. just for the fact u got xbox live now to take it to the next level and we all know how popular the cod4 engine is as it took call of duty to the next level of gaming it cud work for bond as well the only daft doubt or question to the publishers would be why release this game at viritually the same time as cod5??? surely a release a few months earlier at least sept would of done the game more justice. rather than a week or two before cod5. kinda sames a bit of a waste releasing what i expect to be 2 very similar games with different style weapons and campains being only probally the main difference. still i probs get both if they seem to have been made well, and im hearing good things about cod5 so think bond will be upto the challenege. goldeneye was legendary but times have moved on now, loved it meself and wud buy it off the arcade given the chance but its out dated and if they can give the proper bond feel and have multiplayer to back it up then they onto a winnner with the engine they using like

You have a point there.
