online game servers searching question help please

My most concern is UMVC3 and I want to play against europeans when the game searches for hosts online. I have a US xbox live account, so do I make a new european account? or do I only change the region settings in xbox to europe and keep my US account?

UMVC3 probably looks for players close to you (lag). So I think it is not that simplei-like-pie
