Two hours ago the ear piece in my head set crapped out. For what ever reason the microphone works. I know this because voice plays through the speakers. I am literally over the wired headset because this is the third that broke. So how My question is how reliable are the wireless headsets? I already spent $110 on a good pair of hockey roller blades today. I'm getting NInja Gaiden that s $60, and I'm not willing to buy another wired headset. The BS that i go through is day to day and never ending it seems.

I have been thinking of investing in another headset myself, mainly because I am on my second "regular" headset and it hurts my head.

What headsets do all of you guys use?

The two people I know with wireless headsets have had nothing but problems with them. Fail to turn on, fail to charge, randomly stop working. One went through three wireless headsets before giving up and going back to wired.

I haven't had any problems with my wired headset.

There are alternative third party headsets you could try

I Use a wireless one, and it makes a huge difference. Seriously. In my opinion, I believe it's worth the money.

I don't have any problems with the wireless either. Only one thing bothers me about it, after putting in a good 4+ hr session the damn ear peice hurts my ear HELLA bad. lol.

Oh, as for the not holding its charge, that usually goes for most rechargable devices. If you don't charge it at least the recommended time, you will usually have proplems with it.

I use the Halo 2 Plantronics headset. It's wired and was for the original xbox but it works great. I got it from Amazon along with this so I can adjust the volume and mute the mic and I love the combination. The 2 together cost less than $25 too.
