I would have assumed that there would be 3000 points as they are effectively 3 seperate games, half life, portal and team fortress 2. Bizzare that they didnt use more gamer points as a selling point.

I suspect it was microsoft who said only 1000 points for all 5 games.
MS are supposed to be kinda strict about these things. I think the rule is only 1000 points max for any retail game and 250 extra can be added through DLC.
Is orange box a new game at all....or just other games put together into one? I know I may get destroyed for asking this but I really don't know much about it but everyone who isn't saying halo every five seconds is talking about it.

It has episode 1 and 2, portal, and team fortress 2. Episode 2 is the continueing the Half Life 2 story, Portal is a fun puzzle type game, and Team Fortress 2 is the a multiplayer game. The only thing that isn't new is Episode 1, it's the Half Life 2 game we've had for years now.

oh yeh...i never thought of that lol that is why i won't ever run a country.
i still dont get whats the big fus about the orange box....i mean half life 2: second epsoide well thats cool but i think teamfortress and portal are just useless and not fun (they dont seem good games....) and the achivements thigns seems a little over the top! (i dont even care about my achivements...)
