ok im moveing to a area with no DSL. all i will have is dial up. now i dont care about online games at all but i have heard that some games need patchs to work. now with my Wii thay put needed system updates on the game disk. does 360 do this or need to do this. i dont want to drop that kind of mony into a 360 and not be able to play games because i need a system update or game patch and not be able to get it.

Patches aren't required for a game to work... they're just to fix whatever the developers missed. Sometimes these glitches make the game better, other times they don't. If you can't get DSL or Cable in your area maybe look into Satelite... but I think thats even more pricey than Cable.

Most of the things they fix in games is for the online play anyway.

You can download the major system updates off Xbox.com, burn then to a disk, then put that in your 360.
