My 360 has been giving me one ring of death lately. I believe it is just because the wireless controller isn't connecting with the console. What are your thoughts and has anyone else had this problem?

CAUSE
This behavior occurs when the Xbox 360 console experiences a hardware failure.

Yeah, my Xbox has broken before with only one red light. I checked on Microsoft support and it says that one red light is a hardware failure. When it happened to me I already knew what had happened because every time I loaded up my 360 it said "There is a fatal error with your Xbox 360." So I just took it back to the shop and got a new one. :)

I am not sure what one ring means. I know in the past my Xbox has displayed one a few times, but it never really did anything. I just got my Xbox back from getting fixed because of the rings. You should be fine so long as your Xbox keeps running and the disc drive doesn't make harsh grinding sounds when reading the disc and slowing down.
