Wow. That is sad to hear. EGM was one of my favorite print magazines and the only one with integrity and honesty. Looks like the only two multiplatform print magazines left are GamePro and GameInformer. Judging by how things are going, i would not be surprised if these two evenually tank as well. Just a sign of the times.

While I am sad to see them go (20 years people) I stopped caring and reading when they redesigned the mag a few years back and dropped actual previews.

I don't recall ever seeing the word intergrity and EGM ever mentioned in the same sentence, they were very bias in my opinion. Gameinformer cant possibly tanke because it is owned by Gamestop and GS isn't going anywhere. I don't remember who Gamepro's parent company is.

EGM used to be a quality mag. Then a few years ago it began to go downhill. I don't know what happened, whether it was a new staff, or something else, but their reviews have sucked as of late. The mag has always been thinner than some other ones like Game Informer, which I think is the best gaming mag by far (followed by OXM). While it's sad to see a magazine this old go down the tubes, it was headed in that direction anyways. It just was not worth reading after about 2 years ago.

Digital distribution is surpassing magazines. Magazines will probably some day be gone altogether.

I use to love them, but recently they've sucked. And badly. Thankfully, I have a Game Informer subscription.

Dude, Gameinformer sucks, the only reason it actually has subscribbers is because you have to if you want the discount. Gameinformer's reviews and articles honestly sound like a middle schooler interpretation of the games. They are sell outs too. Thats why EGM was good they were for the people not for the money. I hate Ugo.

I am seriously infuriated right now. I recently renewed my subscription and have only gotten 4 issues. Now I go to their customer service and it conveniently can't find my account.

If you're a subscriber and you try to access your account now you are led here;

https://www.neodata.com/ITPS2.cgi

So basically looks like they're saying "Thanks for the cash... we're not sending you a damn thing now. Oh, and we deleted your account"

Honestly, EGM has been heading downhill for awhile now, so maybe it's for the better. They've rotated staff out so many times that it seems like every month there's a new person. The only person that's been there almost the entire time is Crispin Boyer. He's one of my favorites in the EGM staff. Crispin and Shawn Smith. I wish them all luck.

Edit: I have tons of EGM issues (pretty much consecutively) stretching back to 1996/1997 in boxes in my spare room. Each box weighs about 80-90 lbs and I think there's 3 of them. lol I was an avid EGM reader at the start. I always disliked GamePro though. I don't know, their mag seems so, generic and corny.

I agree it's sad...But it's kind of off-topic for this board.
