Looking to get my son a used 360 and found a good deal on an Elite 120GB Batman Lego + Pure bundle

It looks almost like new and the owner said they used it about 6 months in early 2010

The man. date is 10-12-2009

It is only 65 bucks with box and all and I am wondering should I worry about RROD and just buy a newer model?

The RROD problem was adressed long before the Elite appeared, I'm not going to say it won't happen but it's very unlikely to happen.

@raugutcon:

Thanks. Now I just saw the Elite needs a network adapter so I am not sure now + with our tethering/internet we have WPA2 so not sure if the adapter can support that

Might just be easier to buy a newer model

I'd stick with getting one of the 360S consoles if you can. They are way more reliable, and they have built in networking. If you live in the U.S. Walmart has a Forza 2 500GB bundle coming up on Black Friday for $130.

The Elite needs network adapter if you plan to use wifi, it does have Ethernet port, I know because I had one.
