I rang MS about sending my 360 in for repair but I couldn't really understand what the woman was saying. Do I wait for MS to send me out a box and I send my 360 back in that, or do I put my 360 in my own box and arrange for a courier to collect it and send it to MS? If it's the last option, do I have to pay the courier?

The latest, I heard, is that you provide the box and they just provide the pre-paid shipping label.

They send you a box. With the stuff to keep your 360 safe inside the box and the shipping label. You will get your coffin...I mean box by UPS.Once you get it,usually comes in a few days after you request the repairs.Just put your 360 in it and ship it back to them.

Actually they just email you a shipping label now and you have to take it into the UPS store and pay for them to package it up in a box and everything. it cost me around $12.50 to get mine all packed up.

they sent the label to my email as a pdf and i used my own box. there's a box inside the box the 360 came in. it's the same size as the console and contains it perfectly. if you use some bubble wrap, tape it up well, and stick on the label, it will get there fine.

Cool.If it works then it works.I had no idea they did it like that aswell.

They get you everything you need which included box, shipping label etc... Make sure you disconnect hard drive or any other peripherals such as the faceplate. They're very quick and ask them to hook you up with something for the incomvenience and they most surely will. Oh, I remember you have to notify them when you ship it out I think. Good Luck!
