So, I got an email saying my XBL Gold subscription was renewed at $59.99, it auto-renewed and said it was charging my account that day. I went to the Xbox website to verify under my account that my XBL Gold subscription was good until next year. However, I then checked and noticed my credit card was never charged. It said it renewed on a specific day, but when I look at my transaction history I see nothing from Microsoft. It's been well over a week now.

I almost feel like contacting Microsoft to ask "what the heck"... but then I don't want to ruin a possible blessing this might be.

Anybody had anything like this happen?

This happened to me, it came down to having some extra months that i redeemed through gifts which delayed the payment till later.

Edit- i actually had a couple months before my subscription ended but had renewed before when it was cheap and payment didnt go through until current subscription period ended.

You might have had some rewards credit that basically made it free.

This actually happened to me, when I moved from the US to Canada, I entered a 14 day trial code, figured I may as well use it.

Then I was not charged for 4 months, I think it glitched because everytime i checked my account status, it basically said I still had the 14 day code.

eventually, one day.. it figured it out and it claimed to have "expired"

Random, but I'll take free.

Also, if you work in any major retail store with Microsoft, you can do expert zone and get XBL for a year for free, but requires a paystub.

Consider yourself lucky and keep your mouth shut on the matter.

It's normally the other way around as in you cancel and still get charged for it

Rewards? Tell me more, Xbox is sounding more enticing.
