Many thought that Left 4 Dead didn't prove it's moneys worth. I personally thought it was a good game with a new co-op experience. But it had no real story and those without Xbox Live really didn't get the true experience. How do you feel about the game?
The strength of the game is in its multiplayer. On that front, the game delivers in spades and is well worth the launch day money I paid for it. If you don't have Xbox Live, then you're cheating yourself of great experiences like Left 4 Dead.
It was never ever known as a single player game, so potential buyers whould be well aware of this.
I loved that game. Sure, the story was a bit weak but it was made to look like a B movie so that wasn't what the game was about... it was about teamwork and surviving. I personally loved it and I have to agree it's strength comes from the multiplayer aspect. I could waste hours on end in versus mode or even going through the campaign with my friends. It truly is a unique game.
The game was great but really lacking in content. I played it for a good 100 hours but now I can barely play it. I expected we would get campaigns by now.. I never play the versus as I never found it to be that fun.
Really i didnt think left 4 dead was a good game at all 1.the story could be better 2. and if it was suppose to be a good multiplayer game it would have had 4 player insted of 2. enough said already i give it a 6.7

What? The game had no story and it has 4 player co-op and 8 player versus. If you are talking about Splitscreen I think two is enough.
I don't think that people without Live should have bought the game. I enjoyed it and think it is worth the money. They still might be releasing more for it. The story doesn't matter it was made to be a multiplayer only game, with how the game is played they couldn't do much with a story. They had likeable chatacters (and Francis) and funny dialouge, that was enough for story.
i got more than my moneys worth, 2 months on i'm still playing it regularly, but one more campaign and cutscenes would have been nice, i mean, walking into a train one level, and on the start of another. You were in a lighthouse (made up example) it would have been great to see what the 4some did after the player completed a finale
I have so much fun playing that game online. The entertainment is endless for me. I've been playing it since it came out and I'm still not bored of it. Sure, the story is lacking a bit, but it just never gets old on multiplayer. I've DEFINITELY gotten my money's worth.
