Although that would be cool, I think that might complicate things a little too much. DLC maybe?
Ultralink12
lol.. I'm pretty sure that they thought about that, but just as you've said, it would seriously complicate things "UNLESS" your'e playing with a jerk....then you would have a legitimate reason to blast him or her!!!!:P
Or atleast if you got infected you could see everthing your charcter was doing, but could not controll them. You would just watch yourself hunt your teammates and kill them and do anything to stop it. highlife
Yeah...that would be cool. It would minimize some players urge to run-off by themselve becuase the risk of getting infected is alot higher when your alone.
Oh! I know whats missing!! Pick me, pick me!! .... Oh yeah, an actual game!Morning_Revivalhaha? and what makes it not a game?
I love L4D "BUT" it would have been more challenging if a player could actually get infected. I don't mean from one single encounter(THAT WOULD BE TO CHALLENGING) but multiple attacks from the infected and the only way to stop the infection would be to get to the safe-house.What are your thoughts..???MarcRecon
I actually like that idea. I would also like the infected to have the opportunity to knock off medpacks from the survivors' backs. More melee weapons like baseball bats, machetes, and fire axes. MORE MAPS!
We already have survivors that team-kill. Isn't that close enough :(Avenger1324
Nah we need a giant fat lady zombie that puts teamkillers in a room and beats them.
[QUOTE="CodingGenius"]I think that the survivor vs infected mode is pretty cool!lawlessxisn't that the main point of the muiplayer aspect of the game? It can be, or you can play through the campaign with people, too. That's what I've been doing mainly.

Same here. I find it so much more enjoyable. Easy to sit back and relax with friends. After playing competitive multiplayer games a nice relaxing co-op game feels amazing.
[QUOTE="scrub317"]well that kind of beats the purpose of the game. The survivors are immune to the infection....so that means they cant be infectedMarcRecon
We don't actually know that for sure, the story doesn't really confirm that fact.
If you read the writings on the wall you'll see that it is mentioned several times that the people who are trying to survive are immuned to the infection

Ok...I stand corrected...I just saw it for myself after a play-though....but come on dude, I just thought that it was a good idea that would add some challenging elements to the game. Instead of people running recklessly though the game shooting everything, they are forced to be more strategic.
Nay, nay, they still would have their invulnerable melee.i almost think it would be too hard. Think about it. you have 1 (or more) less person on your side, and one extra (more intelligent than AI) special infected zombie. You almost would rarely ever win. especially on harder difficulties...
