just got a 360 elite... kinda confused

are you able to only connect to live only using your router, nothing else...?

cause my parents are gonna say screw that and probably not get a wireless adapter since its 80 bucks :/

You can connect your 360 to the internet exactly how you'd connect anything else to the internet.

No a router needs to be connected from your internet providers modem or gateway. The router's just basically a way to have more internet ports and be wireless (if you buy a wireless router).

no you need to run an ethernet cable from the xbox to the router.

You actually need to have your modem hooked up to the router and then run a CAT-5 cable to the back of the 360.

If we're going to be technical about it.

you can also connect your xbox to your computer with an ethernet cable (if you have the slot) and share the internet connection
