Ive Never Played A FPS

Heya! Ive Never played a fps shooter ever in my life, and my first person game was oblivion (which i love) But it seems ive been missing out on alot since i limit myself to action, 3rd person, and Rpgs. All my friends keep saying to atleast try halo or something, but i dont want to waste my money....

So i was wondering, should a rpg fanatic like myself, try a fps? Could you guys tell me a kinda easy Fps that i could play easily to learn the controls of one? I also have a wii,psp,and Ds.

Call of Duty 4 is one of the easier FPS games to jump into, and one of the best.

Ive seen my brother play call of duty and im not interested in War Fps, sorry should of put that in my first post..:P

Ill try Mass Effect since it also has a rpg type element :D

and buy war i ment games like world war 1 and world war 2, sorry :S

Halo is a good FPS you cold play or you could even try a TPS like Gears of War.

CoD4, CoD:WaW, Halo3, BF:BC, Fallout 3 (also RPG), Frontlines:Fuel of War (terrible game), Left 4 Dead, R6v, R6V2, Turok, The Orange Box (HL series), Far Cry 2, FEAR, FEAR 2, Mirrors Edge, Bioshock, MOH:Airborne
