Ummm No its not going to happen, if you read this article it states he wants to make a metal gear type game possibly for the 360 and pc and something for the wii as well but does not state that MGS4 is going to 360 http://news.softpedia.com/news/Metal-Gears-of-War-Solid-4-45057.shtml
No. Konami and Kojima have confirmed time and time again that Metal Gear Solid 4 is a Playstation 3 exclusive.
People can speculate and give their opinion all they want, but the fact of the matter is that Kojima and Konami's word is all that matters. We can all argue over what *might* happen, but there's no point in doing so.
Here's my take on it:
Konami is probably thinking, "If we make this on both platforms, we'll sell at least twice as many as we would if we only made it for PS3"
However, Sony is thinking, "If we offer Konami enough money that would cover the sales they would/could potentially make by producing it for both systems, then we can keep 360 owners from playing the game for at least a year and also get more people to buy a PS3 within that year just to play MGS4"
And Konami would probably be happy with that. Sony is trying to get the PS3 in as many homes as possible. Why do you think you see a PS3 commercial every 10 minutes or so?
I'll admit, I might NOT wait a year or so just to play it, I probably would buy a PS3 just for MGS4 (and Killzone, LOL).
there has been absolutely NO word on if it will come out on the 360. if it does come out, it will be after the PS3 exclusivity deal ends which could be 1-2 years. it would make a lot of sense if they do release it (larger install base for 360's currently) but judging how poorly MGS2 Substance did on the Xbox, i can't blame them if they were standoff-ish about releasing it for the 360. it'd be awesome if some of the konami lawyers found a loophole that enables them to release the game under a different title or something...if they were actually wanting to do it.herbie12282
A lot of the PS2 user base went to 360 this gen. But I agree, I cant see a lot of 360 owners buying this game. I also cant see this game selling as much copies as Halo 3, or anything near it even if it had 11 mil extra possible buyers. Games like MGS are lved byt he fans but not by the mainstream buyer (the kid that you like to kill during Halo 3 multiplayer).

Umm.....the PlayStation2 sold in excess of 120 million units worldwide, and thusfar the 360 is at what, 17? million units? (including existing Xbox fans and those 20% of users who've had to get a 2nd or 3rd 360) Sorry man, but your statement that "alot of the PS2 user base converted to 360 this gen" is kinda silly.
I also find it humorous that when PS3 owners say stuff like "it'd be cool if BioShock came out on PS3" the 360 fans all get crazed about how its "exclusive" and the PS3 will never get it, yet not a day goes by on the 360 forums that there isn't a discussion about how "Metal Gear Solid 4" will come to the 360.
The 360 has a larger user base right now because it was out a full year+ prior to the PS3. But, just like exclusives like "Halo3" and "Gears of War" fueled the 360 sales, so too will games like "Killzone2", "Metal Gear Solid 4", "God of War III", "Final Fantasy XIII" and such fuel PS3 sales when they come out.
But trying to make up false stories about "MGS4" coming to the 360 is the same as PS3 owners hoping to get a ported copy of "BioShock": it'd be cool, but its all just a pipe dream unless an official statement is made, and thusfar, the official statement is that 360 owners will not be playing MGS4 anytime soon.
