Well my question is plain and simple, is left 4 dead 2 a horror game, and if you consider it to be one, would you consider it scary?

Left 4 Dead isn't scary at all. Its more of a team based cooperative first person shooter.

Uh no, it's an FPS with zombies.

It doesn't try to incorporate horror elements into it.

Not scary the way Dead Space or Silent Hill (the first 3. 4 and 5 were kinda lame in that department) but it sure is scary as hell to be just a few feet away from the safehouse on realism expert and you hear the lovely Tank music. lol

So do you mean you think SH: Origins and SH: SM are the scariest of the SH? Anyways back ontopic, I don't think L4D is a horror game. It's never scary.

Silent Hill, Silent Hill 2 and Silent Hill 3 were the only scary ones imo.

No, it doesn't even try to be scary. It just tries to be fun and heavily incorporates teamwork.

are you joking? uh no. its a horror themed FPS it has horror elements ozzing out every inch of it. the fact that its not scary has more to do with the fact that its so over the top. kinda like a parody didnt stop it from frightening one of my lady friends tho

I wouldn't count it as a horror game, it's an action co op FPS.

It really depends on what you define as a horror game. I mean I guess you could consider it one since it's got zombies in it. But the game never scares you and it never really seems set out to do so. It doesn't really seem to play like one at all but then again the horror game genre has really been changing in the past few years. I guess I'll go with no because like I said earlier, it's not scary.

I'm going to say no. Zombie movies are pretty effing scary, but this game doesn't really try to be scary. There really aren't any parts that make you nervous or build tension.

I wouldn't say it's scary. It's more comical, in my opinion.
