Is it just me, or does this summer just BLOW for gaming?

I mean, I find myself sitting in front of my console, bored, and still playing MW2. There aren't any games releasing this summer that catch my attention, and i more bored than ever. It's been a long time since I picked up a " WOW" game and have been addicted to it. What do you guys think?

You have more "present-giving" holidays in the winter such as Christmas or Hanukkah where publishers know people would be willing to drop money for gifts or spend there holiday money

Nah i cant agree with you on this.Every summer for me is like the best time for gaming since i dont have school and i can earn extra money for games :D

Not at all - I still have a ton of great games to catch up on from the last year, and most of them are ridiculously cheap now.DJ_Lae

Summer is usually the time you buy or play the games you've haven't got yet earlier in the year or even last year. And I guess game releases are slow during the summer since gaming people need to go on vacations too.

I think I'm good for the summer. Madden 11 comes out soon enough then Mafia II, I'm occupied for now.

on purchases yes but on playing no. i havent bought a game for 2 months

I would recommend Alan Wake and Red Dead Redemption. Alan Wake is a great rental. It's short and very thought out. Red Dead Redemption is a fantastic open world game with a lot to do which makes it a great summer game. There's also going to be a 20 times xp event for Gears of War 2 during Comic Con so a lot of people will be online if you need to try another online shooter out.

I ususally just play games I havn't played in a long time, Such as COD:WAW. My friend and I just have mindless fun with the co-op campaigndeath card system...all while running around with bayonets shanking dudes everywhere

Get Red Dead Redemption, that'll keep you busy for at least a few weeks, not even touching multi-player.

Red Dead Redemption isnt exactly a summer release but i just got it and its insane. Enjoying my last few weeks of summer with this! haha
