Fear has its scary moments but IMO the whole feel of Condemned 2 is generally more off putting and scary. I played it on a 50 inch TV with the sound up to max and the lights off. I jumped a few times and found myself **** footing around levels trying to avoid something making me jump again......the bit with the mannequins that appear in a room :o
FEAR is more of an FPS with a slight inclination towards horror while Condemned is an action game with a heavy emphasis on psychological and "jump" scares.
Fear isn't scary at all! maybe once or twice will you get "supriced" but that's it. but fear is still a good game, but not what you want if you're searshing for a scary game
Condemned was a scarier game but if you are contemplating on getting one or the other i would definently recommend FEAR. One of my favorite shooters that i have ever played
i played the condemned demo it was pretty scary but my friend said in fear he turned a corner and got hit with a crowbar and he said that the game was too scary so he sold it.
I would say Condenmed is scarier, but the first one, not the second. You dont get stuck with all these guns and stuff. You gotta make good with what you can find in walls. The I is really smart and it is fun to watch the AI fight each other. FEAR isn't really a scary game, its more of a OMG THAT WAS FREAKIN AWESOME game. You can slow down time, beat everyone up like you are THE ONE with JetLI, and make everything less scary. It just has a couple of "Turn around, OH NO A GHOST!" moments. The Sound in FEAR is so much better though. If you kick over a bucket, the bucket has it's own sound. Things like that are creepy in dark moments.
