This weekend I plan on buying a 360 and want to know if the 20GB pro will be enough? All I plan on doing with the Harddrive is storing game saves and whatever DLC there is or will be for the game. I don't plan on putting music, videos, or anything non-gaming related. I was just wondering if game saves and dlc take up a lot of the HDD?

I bought the xbox elite because i rent alot of movies on xbox live and buy alot of tv shows so the 120 gigs is something i needed. But just for the strict gamer that has saved games and demos and map packs the 20 gigs is just fine.

20gb isn't enough, and with the edition I have *halo edition*, you can't even upgrade the HDD, since the 120gb doesn't match the system, would look ugly, but, w/e, the console was free.

Either way, go for the 120gb if you plan on buying dlc games or renting movies or anything, demos take up a ton of space.

20GB if your a casual gamer. So if you just want to play games you buy at stores then its good enough.

120GB would be if you want to download games etc. off of DLC.

20 will be more than enough for you, and you could always buy another hard drive later.

I thought 20 wasn't going to be enough for me, but I seem to be making out fine. I d/l quite a few things, just keep up with deleting content you don't use, you could always d/l it again through your d/l history.

20gigs is fine, as long as you delete the demos you don't play. i have about 6 I play, so I have 6 on, and I still have room for like 4 more, (plus i have saved games, and tons of game content downloaded) demos are like 400mb to 1 gig, game content can be from 100mb to 1.4 gig(my largest is 1.4) arcade games are like 20-100mb so no worries there

Yes. I've had my 360 longer than my Ps3 and I always said that sony was retarded, because I have all kinds of crap on my hard drive and I still have 10GB open. The PS3 downloads just take up more space than the 360's do. 20GB is plenty, the Xbox 360 Elite is stupid, because you will never ever use that much space.

I don't know.... I am a casual gamer and after a few demos you want to save and the arcade games, there is only a little space left even with no music stored. I bought my system at launch so it was not available but I would rather the 120 gig drive for the extra 100 bones (plus the HDMI)

As I mentioned before all I want to do with the 20GBs is store game saves and whatever Downloadable content is available for the game like map packs and such. I have no need for storing music, videos, tv shows, and other things because I use my computer for that.

Its enough if you don't download a lot of videos, trial/full XBLA games and store music on it. I got an Elite coz I download videos and games.

I'm pretty much a 'hardcore' gamer and 20 gigs is more than enough.. I bought about 60 songs for Rock Band, 2 expansion packs (Raising Hell for Overlord and I forget the other. May have been that oblivion expansion), I've gotten tons of themes and other misc downloads, I have 45 arcade games, and I got all the map packs for GoW, Halo, CoD and a few other things. I have 7 gigs left. 20 gigs is more than enough. And you can always remove crap for old games if you NEED the space - you can always redownload them for free later (it keeps track of your saves).

I'd stick with the 20gig. It's more than enough.

Its enough as long as you delete all the demos and game videos that you arent watching. If you keep all that stuff on there then you will run out of space.

I think 20 is plenty. Ive ben playing sence launch and ive gone through 2 profiles and ive stilll got over 13 gigs. Just as long as you perform matnanance such as deleting the demos or trailers or getting rid of the map packs for games you dont play anymore ect.... cause if you bought them you can always go back and re download them free of charge.

Most of the people who say its not enough have 20 game trailers, demos from launch games and 1000 arcade game demos.

I have my 360 since lauch with 38 games, halo content, COD4 content, PDZ maps etc etc

I have 8Gigs left so yeah 20G(15) is enough if you don't plan on downloading tons of movies/originals etc

20 is fine, just delete old demo's when you don't need them. Game saves are like 10-100mb. Map packs are liek 500mb ( approx) so with just DLC and saves you don't need more than 20gb if you are prepared to redownload game DLC if you wanted to play them again.

20GB is more than enough if you just use your 360 for gaming. The only reason you would want 120gb HDD is for downloading movies, or downloading xbox originals (or you could just buy the original on a disc and not need the HDD space). So really 120gb is only needed if you download lots of films, fill it with crap and never delete anything.

Arcade games are fairly small, with most under 100mb each. DLC varies, but is usually well under 500mb, though a few go over.

Remember that anything released on Live will get more people buying it the smaller size it takes up - some people don't have a HDD, so making downloads huge it cuts them out of the market completely. MS wants to make money, so making downloads smaller is in their best interest.

If that's all your doing then it should be fine. But if your plans change or whatever you can do like me and transfer your data to a new 120GB and sell the 20GB.

20GB has proved to be more than enough for me. I've had the same HD since launch and I've never filled it up.

I download occasional Xbox Live Arcade games, themes, and gamer pictures.

I don't download tv shows or movies. I see no point in doing that because every show or movie they have is on DVD and generally cheaper to buy them that way. Not to mention more convenient since you can play DVDs on any DVD player and not just my 360 console.
