I just save up $500 dollars...and I am planning on buying a PC monitor or an LCD HDTV. I've done some research myself but I would really like to hear from 360 owners who does have an HDTV. What is the best TV I can get for $500? I don't really need anything bigger than 32" since it is going to be for my room

Circuitcity.com and go to hdtv section, and search the 500 dollar range.

I suggest saving closer to $1000 dollars or waiting for sales or price drops.  I just find most of the monitors are too small for a good gaming experience.

I know it isn't the best brand or the biggest screen size, but I have the HP vs17x that came with my computer and the games look fabulous on it through VGA. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

That's a good entry level choice.  I was on an extreme budget ($600) 3 months ago and went to best buy to look around.  Thank god I didn't bring in my wallet, that TV looks great.  Plus a guy picked up the last box they had on display and I took it as an omen :P now I'm probably gunna do an XBR3 46"...although I only have $3500 and it leaves me sort of broke.

Heres 2 descent ones in your price range http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16824112182 or this one http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16889114019 I'll be getting one of the 2 really soon after I auction off this extra Xbox 360 on ebay. They both can be used as a PC monitor too.

My suggestion for a PC monitor would be the Sony GDM-Fw900. It is a 24 inches widescreen tube monitor that does a 1080p equivalent resolution. It is no longer in production but there are several Ebay auctions which list refurbished models under the price you are willing to pay. It is heavy and big as all CRTs are, but the richness of blacks and colors is worth it I think. This very monitor is said to be the absolute best of consumer level CRTs. Here is a link to pictures taken of that monitor displaying some Xbox 360 games. http://ded.zenblue.net/FW900/Xbox360/ This one is my favorite http://ded.zenblue.net/FW900/Xbox360/Kameo_throne.jpg A link to specs of the monitor itself. http://www.amazon.com/Sony-GDM-FW900-Widescreen-Trinitron-Monitor/dp/B00004YNSR I just bought it and am awaiting shipment. I should be posting screenshots of some of my games running at 1080p sometimes soon.
