Ok, well i rented CoD4 a couple of times and really liked it, but never thought about buyin it... Now, all my cuz's are playin it and they're callin me crazy cause i still don't have it.. But now, I have the money for a new game, and im considering CoD4 but im not sure if its too late for it.. is it still worth the buy considering all the time that has gone by and all the experienced players playing?

It's still damn well worth buying. Besides, Infinity Ward has made enough money off of COD4, just buy a used copy:).

They just came out with the GOTY edition that has all the new maps included so it's definitely worth checking out.

It's still one of the most played games on Live. It's easy to get to grips with too, so don't worry about being inexperienced. It's a great game, and really fun with friends.

i had bought COD4 in jan, but since im in college, and leave my 360 and wii at home, i only had a chance to play cod4 this summer...so basically i started playing about 5 days ago, and i only played for about 24 hrs total, and im already at level 35...and i get about over 170 in every game..so dont worry, you may be a noob, but it will only take a few games to get the hang of it..trust me...just use the M16 with the ACOG scope, with suitable perks, and you shud be set...

Definately, it's never too late for that game, GTA4 has stalled my COD4 time, but it will soon take over once again.

According to Major Nelson it is still the second most popular game on Live, after GTAIV, and ahead of Halo 3.

There are still plenty of people playing it, though because of the way matchmaking works you always ended up against people of very different ranks, so buying it now makes no difference. Since a lot of people choose to go Prestige mode they essentially restart each time they go up one prestige level, so apart from experience on the maps, you start with the same equipment as them.

I had a similar question as the TC too

due to the GTA4 madness rush lately, is cod4 still populated well enough? like is it still easy as hell to find games like it use to be? cause I dont wanna be online and be looking all day for a game.

Both Halo 3 and COD4 have suffered population loss. However, both are starting to regain their average population again since the whole GTA IV hype is starting to die down.

You won't get bored...for some time to come. It will hold you out until November ( if your planning to buy GOW2). Buy the game and play the multiplayer and play Halo 3's multiplayer as well; this is to keep variety and prevent you from getting bored (if you think you get bored easily). Or else just buy Ninja Gaiden 2.

well, the single player can take a few hours. it's pretty short, but very good.

the multiplayer can last some time with Prestige mode, but I honestly thought that the game got stale after about roughly 30 hours of multiplayer (a little after I got first Prestige). that is short by standards. even so, it was totally worth the money i spent

It's not REALLY too late, it's just that the game is getting stale to some people, plus there's a new kid on the block coming out in June called Battlefield: Bad Company which might catch your eye. Wait till June 5th, and try the demo..if you don't like it, grab CoD4 then.

I think CoD4 is still the go-to online shooter for the 360 for a while. People will try out new ones as they come out, but they'll end up playing Call of Duty afterward.

It will be interesting to watch when Bad Company comes out. The Hardcore shooter fans will definitely grab it and master it, but will they keep playing afterward?
