I was thinking about getting an Xbox360 and I'm just wondering whether or not you can play on XBL with more than one player at a time on the same console. For example, can a friend and I play on the same console against 2 other people over XBL.
That's a good idea, but it would be very complicated to make such an online option. As of now, no such option exists in the majority of Live-enabled titles. I hope to see it in the future, though.
It depends on the game. FIFA 2007 for example supports 4 people on one xbox playing 4 people on another over xbox live. Some games only let you play over xbox live with one person. Like I said, it depends on the game.

Absolutely. MechAssault had this capability in 2001. It was one of the very first Xbox Live games. My friend and I played split screen together online. I think this is possible in Halo 2. I don't know of any games for the 360, but I'm sure there are some XBLA games or regular ones that allow this.

I know. I don't understand why everyone is saying you can't. You can do it on GRAW and I know for a fact you can do it on Halo 2. All it does is put a 1 and a 2 by the players name or something like that.

the answer is yes, u can have guest play on most player matches and u can actually have two xbl accounts sign in at the same time on the same console and play online that way.
