Ok here's the deal,

I have one XBOX 360 in one location, saved on this hard drive is my old saved game data (Ultimate alliance, dead rising, etc.). I'm now playing a new xbox in a new location, with none of the saved data.

I've since downloaded my xbox live profile onto the new xbox, so now the profile can't be accessed on the old xbox.

Anyone know how i can get my saved data from the old xbox and still preserve the data that is still on it? Or is there any way i can transfer data from one profile to another???

thanks in advance

using a memory card plugged in, go to system. go to games, choose your saves you want to move, and copy them to the memory card. emphasis on COPY. after you've either filled the memory card or copied everything you want, turn off your xbox and move the momory card to the other xbox and move the saves into your hard drive on that one.

repeat until you have everything you want on the new one

unfortunately there isn't a way to use your network to sync saves between xboxes, that would really be something.

you can't plug mem. cards into the controller. I am pritty sure you can just use a flash drive.

I don't think you can use a flash drive as a memory card but I could be wrong, never tried it. You'll most likely need a real Xbox 360 Memory Unit. They make several different capacities if the 512MB is overkill for your needs.

You can't use a regular USB flash drive as a memory unit, sorry. The only thing you can do to "carry" your game saves is swap hard drives or use the official memory unit from Microsoft.

I just love how MS keeps coming up with new and innovative ways to rip us off.

I ordered the transfer kit, but by the time it arrived I had already dl'ed bunch of content and played through various games. Shame it replaces the old data when you use it.
