what I recently noticed is that the 360 nowadays is all about xbox live. I can't get xbox live becuase it was a too damn hard too get passed the connection test. the grope of people who don't have XBL, and I feel sad that 40% of content is online and that they can't just include The content in the disk. Now every developer including my favorite EA, have completely abandon me. Woe is me.

yeah, you should def try and fix that, online is a great deal of fun...
however there are some great offline games if that never works out, like Bioshock.

If you're using a router, then don't. Connect directly to the modem and it should work, unless you have dial-up (but seriously).

When you say you've tried everything... what do you mean? What problem are you having? Most people just plug in the ethernet cable and it works right away. If you are having problems, you need to google XBOX LIVE NAT SETTINGS which will tell you what ports on your router to forward to your xbox.

I personally set my xbox on a static IP to my router, and then forward the proper TCP and UDP ports to that IP address. You want it to say "OPEN" when you run the network test. If it says OPEN then you are connected, and just have to have your silver or gold membership attached to your profile.

The "online revolution" is a pretty big pain in the butt. I typically can't stand playing online, and I'm certainly not going to pay for it. Thankfully though, most DLC is forgettable and the games that have the content on the disc and you have to pay to unlock it...I just don't buy those games.

I play online occassionally, but I still do most of my gaming in single player campaigns (which is why I skipped Army of Two completely).

JetSpiderMan

lol, GEEK SQUAD. Last time I was at Best Buy to buy a new computer... $50 to make a backup disc... $100 to delete uneeded programs (they specifically mentioned getting rid of Vonage, and this computer didn't come with Vonage). Thankfully I can do all that very easily without them.

You have cable and you can't pass the connection test? Man, I thought I had it bad... I have to deal with this POS DSL every day. It's the cheapest thing around AT&T to be exact. If it's just me using the connectiong on live, it plays fine. As soon as I try to download something it takes days though. Demos, Maps, etc... I get mad when DC comes out because I just imagine how long it's going to take me.

DSL for 15? Or Cable for 50... I guess you get what you pay for in my case.

that sucks dude. I know your plight. I was on the phone for hours trying to get mine hooked up. Called Internet provider, modem and router manufacturer, and xbox and each call was looooooong. Its totaly worth it tho. If there's a will theres a way!
