I don't know if this is the right forum to post this, but I'm gonna do it anyway :)

So, the topic says all, I want to disconnect it because there is a lot of dust and dirt going under there and I want to clean it up, but it's stuck it seems.

Is there an easy way to remove the chatpad?

if by chat pad you mean the d pad the only way you can take it out is to take apart your controller, there are videos on youtube about how to do this. and you'll need a special screw driver. if your talking about maybe the messanger pad all you should have to do it pull it out. but i've never heard of anything called the chat pad

Good grief removing the chat/messenger pads are so annoying. I want mine back though (I returned it), but playing a game with it connected is such a chore, I always suck with it connected. I found myself constantly taking it off (when I could get it off) and putting it on when I got messages.

Hmm, never got any problems playing games with the messenger pad on my controller, sure it makes it heavier, but that's not a big deal in my opinion.

If anything I find the chat pad makes the controller more stable, controller feels too light without it now lol.
