Controllers used to be very important back in the 5th and 6th generations. If you wanted to have good multiplayer sessions, you needed four controllers and some arrangements for your friends to come over. Now, with the onslaught of online play, it seems to make having four controllers useless (4 being the most that can be connected to a 360). Only a handful of games supposedly support 4 players locally (i.e. Call of Duty 3), and the fact that Gears of War only supports two locally and eight in an online game just comes to show that your get-togethers with your friends can simply be "virtual". I have two Xbox 360 controllers. How about you guys?
Yeah I don't know why I would need any more than 2 controllers. I almost never have friends over and I do most of my gaming with my local friends online.

Well actually if you are in a college dorm it might be pretty likely to be playing locally... though looking at your gamercard it seems that you play a lot of GOW, which is only 2 players locally.
I own 4 wireless controllers. I'm a professional musician so I travel with a band a lot. We play in the bus while we travel and use a projector in hotel rooms. Life on the road would be much duller without 4 controllers.Â
Games that we play are: Halo 2, Far Cry, Graw, COD 2, COD 3, RS6:V, PDZ and PGR3. All those support 4 players.
not all 4 player games are split screen. i might miss some but i think the 4 player games are:

in addition the games cod3, graw, moto gp, and pdo will allow 4 players on 1 console to play on live at the same time. and you can bet that fuzion frenzy will be 4 player.
i got one wire (sick of forgettin to buy batterie) and the wireless one they gave with the xbox i only need two, since most of my friends got an xbox (well the gamer ones)....but sometimes u never know
i have 5 cos i asked my mum to get some with a 50£ note and she got one buy 1 get 1 free and i bought 2 and 1 free.. so now ive got 5 controllers... but i have loadsa friends and live so they come round and go on live with me
